December 2018 Favourites + Dislikes

The last monthly favourites was back in July so thought I would do my final one of 2018.

BEAUTY

Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Powder Highlighter
My sister Amelia has been back from university for the Christmas celebrations, I love it when she is back because I get to try new makeup and skincare that she has and this is one item that I have been using for a while now from her makeup collection and I love it.

Collection Speedy Highlighter
I love this highlighter, I put a line of it on both upper cheek and then pat it in with my fingers, it can be a subtle highlighter or you can make it slightly more dramatic which I love, normal highlighters cling to the dry patches whereas this one doesn't.

Fame
I was at the park a while ago with my family and family friends and one of our friend's smelt so good so I had to ask what it was and it's Fame another Essential Scent fragrance.

LipSense® Lip Colour in Nude Pink with LipSense® Lip Gloss in Glossy Gloss
If you want to know what my everyday lip is, is LipSense® Lip Colour in Nude Pink with LipSense® Glossy Gloss, I love the colour and how it wears down.

MUSIC & PODCASTS

Adam Lambert - Believe
I saw that people were at the Kennedy Centre doing covers of Cher's songs. Fact about me, I love Cher but one period I didn't like her music was the 90's, I don't like the disco/tech songs but when Adam did a version of Believe for her I loved his version.

George Ezra - Hold My Girl
My favourite George Ezra song EVER, it was always Cassy O' but that's moved over and now it's Hold My Girl, I also love the music video plus the behind the scenes video. George Ezra has been in all of my monthly favourite blog posts so far.

Tom Odell - True Colours
I am going to be completely honest, I had never heard of Tom Odell but I saw in recommended videos on YouTube his cover of True Colours which I love the song, I love Cyndi Laupers version and Phil Colins so thought I would try it out and loved it and purchased it on iTunes and have been playing it over and over again.

BLOGS & YOUTUBE CHANNELS

David Dobrik
4.21 minutes is all you need to become addicted to David Dobrik, only one video and then you look at the time and your YouTube history only to reveal you have watched hours of David Dobrik.

Steve Cook
I seem to have motivation to actually work out when I watch Steve Cook's videos, no I don't want to be bulky and bits I just want to be lean. Steve Cook was kind of involved in a catfish occasion with me and another blogger which will be a whole blog post of it's own and Steve doesn't even know about it.

The Chatwins
I don't know how I stumbled upon their YouTube channel but I love watching their channel, Gemma is the smartest 2 year old I know - I don't really know her personally but I feel like I do by the video. Go check out the channel if you want to see such a cute family, they have just had triplets.

TV SHOWS & MOVIES

In the month of December I seem to watch a lot more television and movies, I think it's because I will put the television on whilst I wrap gifts.

Call The Midwife
It's the Christmas special that I loved, I can't wait for the new season of this show, I have loved it for a while.

Crazy Rich Asians
I saw this film advertised and thought it looked interesting so watched it and loved it, I loved the music in it and everything about it, I'm going to get the book and read it.

Fortitude
Fortitude is a sci-fi psychological thriller television and on season 3 now, it is very odd/strange/weird but yet I am gripped to it. When I first started watching this (season 1) I didn't get into it and gave up after episode 2 but my sister told me it was really good so I rewatched and continued to watch and loved it.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
I love ABBA so when the first film out I went to see it with my mum and sister, we queued for ages and sat in the front row (only seats left) and loved the first film so had to see the next one and I love it even more than the first film. I also love Cher too.

Neighbours
I seem to love this Australian soup, I always have since I was a little girl, if I was ever to go to Australia I would love to visit the set and meet the cast. I feel like this show isn't predictable.

The Musketeers
BBC had a three season show that I did a whole run through watching them from start to finish and wish there was another season but there isn't. BBC do some amazing shows like this one, War & Peace, The Woman In White, Troy: Fall Of A City and Strike.

The Night Manager
I have an Amazon Prime account and one night I was looking through it and saw they had The Night Manager, I loved it when it first came out so started watching it again and still love it HOWEVER I used to fancy Tom Hiddleston and wanted him to be the next James Bond but then when he started going out with Taylor Swift it was such a turn off.

DISLIKES
I have a few dislikes this month and thought I would mention them:

Christmas Music
Christmas music has been driving me crazy, their are only a few I like such as:

  • Fairytale Of New York - The Pogues
  • Feed The World (Do They Know It's Christmas) - Band Aid
  • We Three Kings - Hugh Jackman, David Hobson & Peter Cousen

If it's not those three songs I can't stand them. Imagine listing to the same 8 to 10 songs over and over again whilst you work it drives you crazy.

Health
It's not I dislike good health, I dislike my health at the moment and it feels like it's getting worse but I think it's because I have a cold.

The Idiot Who Hit My Dad
My dad was working, minding his own business, working to feed his family and yet some guy hit my dad with their car, knocking the back of my dad's legs, dad hit the car window to make the driver aware of what the guy had just done BUT instead of apologising he racially abused my dad - I just don't get it.
